I'm a little less than halfway through it at this point, and overall I like it a lot. It's a little inconsistent -- some of it is hilarious and some just eh. He sort of has a David Sedaris style, but more brutal at turns, if that makes any sense, and doesn't make you giddy with laughing the way Sedaris might. There are stories within about Augusten Burroughs as a kid and others about him as an adult, and the kid ones are waaay better. Funnier, less bitter.
On the upside, I got it in hardback at Borders for like, $6.* I know that something ending up in the bargin bin is not exactly a good sign, but I've found all kinds of great books that way, so I think that's more of a problem of this book not finding its audience quickly.
*Technically, my Dad bought it for me. I don't have a penny to my name to spend on things like books.
